Ep.36 - Men Talk: Why talking is so important for male mental health | Ben Akers

Gwen Watson and Kate White Season 5 Episode 36

We talk men's mental health with Ben Akers, co-founder of the male mental fitness charity, Talk Club.

Talk Club is a talking and listening club for men, offering talking groups, sports groups and therapy, and has been championed recently by the likes of Liam Gallagher and Tyson Fury.

We discuss the terrifying statistics around suicide in young men, and why talking (without trying to fix the problem) is so important. Ben also challenges us to ask the men in our lives, how are you out of 10?

Trigger warning: This episode contains references to suicide.
